The Treasured Place transforms a place that means something to you into a beautifully embroidered keepsake.

Whether it’s the venue where you said ‘I do’, your first home, the house you grew up in or somewhere filled with special memories, your photograph or drawing is carefully simplified into delicate linework and recreated in thread, preserving a place you’ll always want to remember.

Choosing Your Image

If you already have a line drawing ready to go, that's perfect. If not, I may be able to work from a photograph.

To create the best possible embroidery, please choose your image carefully.

For the best results:

Clear, simple images work best.

The building should be clearly visible and ideally photographed straight-on.

Please choose a photo with minimal people, cars, trees or other objects obscuring the building.

Existing line drawings or simple sketches are perfect and can be uploaded instead of a photograph.

Please avoid:

Buildings that are heavily obscured by other objects.

Very distant, dark or blurry photographs.

Highly detailed or complicated illustrations.

How Your Image Will Be Recreated

Your photograph or drawing will be used to create a simplified line illustration suitable for embroidery. It will not be an exact reproduction of your photograph.

Small architectural details, foliage, signage, background objects and other elements may be simplified or removed to create the best finished embroidery.

As every building and image is different, the level of detail I can include will vary.

Size & Personalisation

The maximum embroidery area is 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cm). Your design will be sized within this area to best suit the shape and proportions of your building.

If you'd like to add a short piece of text beneath or alongside your building, such as a venue name, house name or date, simply write this in the notes box at checkout after clicking 'View Cart'.

Please keep additional wording short, as both the illustration and text need to fit comfortably within the 4 x 4 inch embroidery area.

What If My Photo Isn't Suitable?

Don't worry! If I don't think your photograph will work well as an embroidery, I'll contact you before making your order.

You'll have the option to send a different photograph or drawing. If you don't have another suitable image, I'll be happy to refund your order instead.

I want you to love your finished Treasured Place, so I won't go ahead with an image that I don't feel will translate beautifully into embroidery.
